I have a usb to serial port adapter, but can not find the installation CD. How can I get a driver for it?

I can not tell who made it. I have had it for a few years and changed computers. It will not work on my new computer.
First line of the detail section read “I can not tell who makes it.” Therefore I could not post the make and model That is why I came here instead of google. I thought some one might be able to tell me how to use a generic driver or something like that.

Well if you had posted the make and model, I could have looked for it. Soooo, google the make and model followed by driver.

Freebie program for once. It will probably find some other things too, do a restore point at each update, slow yes but quicker than undoing a can of worms!
