i can find a driver for a generic usb to serial adapter?

my printer uses serial but my new laptop is usb. i puchased a adapter from ebay but with no drivers and i cant find one. help please.

I did a quick search and found some drivers here:

not sure if its a universal driver, if they dont work, post the make/model of your cable and we’ll work from there

    You could try an automatic driver update utility. It will scan your system and identify each device. It will then locate and download the proper drivers for your devices. I have been using the one from here: http://www.pcdriverupdate.com and it has saved me much time and frustration. Download the free scan and see if it finds what you need.

    I have a USB to serial adapter and windows XP installed the drivers automatically even without the supplied disk

    I would plug it in and if it doesn’t install the drivers go to device manager in system,control panel rt click on the yellow exclamation mark and click on update and allow it to search the internet for a driver. If there is no yellow exclamation mark and the device is present it means its installed correctly. If you tell us the make and your operating system we may be able to find you the driver for you
