I contacted usbeasycap, and the person said I had an easycap produced by others, not by easycap! Anyway, I tried the DC60+ driver for my EasyCap DC60, and it worked under Windows 7! The URI is http://usbeasycap.info/support.html , where you can get the win7 driver for DC60+.

The link for EasyCap DC60 is points STK1160, and the filename is STK1160, but the files are really for STK1150. It does not work under my Windows 7. Drivers for two devices (USB composite and USB audio) are installed, but one is not, and UVS10 can’t capture.

I have very recently changed my old MS joystick from serial 15 pin to USB. You may like to give this a try. Make up a game port female connector as follows to a USB cable lead:-
USB Red wire to gameport pin1 (red)
USB White wire to gameport pin 14 (yellow)
USB Green wire to gameport pin 10 (green)
USB Black wire (Not Braided screen) to gameport pin 4
Then join gameport pins 2 and 7 together.
finally solder the USB screening to the gamport male socket casing

Well I’ve had this TV for approx 3 weeks and I love it so far & delivers as promised. I mostly use it for gaming on my 360 (which looks great on this set) and watching movies via HDMI on my laptop. I can’t wait to get my PS3 and play it on this..

I can’t comment much on the sound since I output sound to my Logitech 5.1 speakers for the required “omph” needed. I tested the internal speakers once and it’s decent but the lack of bass could be an issue.

The motion flow was great at first but I ended turning it off since it tended to detract from the movie for e.g I was watching “Public Enemies” recently in high def with motion flow on and it looked insanely beautiful but after an hour I was more gawking the movie environment rather that enjoying the video. IMHO motion flow is best suited when watching porn at 1080p and Courtney Cummz & Phoenix Marie has never looked better, I could never go back to standard def after seeing that….

Overall excellent product & highly recommended, The only gripe I have is with Amazon’s Yo-yo pricing model,I bought this at $1414 only to look a couple of weeks later and it dropped to $1249 and back up to $1500 etc…..

I realize that this is not the answer you want, but for a plethora of reasons you would be far better off purchasing a PCI USB card. Like one of these…

Give it some thought. I understand it might be a matter of having enough PCI slots… you probably have a NIC, SOund card, and maybe a video card running PCI… but you can change to a USB network dongle… and still have 3 USB ports to go.

Not all serial devices will work through a serial to USB adapter, so I suspect you’re out of luck.

USB or PCI modems are relatively cheap – I’d suggest just picking up a new modem.

Are you getting any error messages?

First thing to check – go to Control Panel and Select, then PHone and Modem Options, then lcick on the Modems tab. Is the modem shown here? If so make a note of the serial port number if refers to.

Also check here – from Control Panel, select System, then click on the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager. If there is an entry for "modem" clcik the + sign beside it. If there is no entry for modem, the software hasn;t detected the device.

If there is a question mark in a yellow circle then the modem has been detected but not correctly installed. Right click on the modem, select Properties and then troubleshoot.

If there is a red cross then the modem has been detected but disabled. Right click on the modem, select Properties and then make sure "Use this device (enable)" is selected in the drop down list at the bottom.

Don't bother yourself. If you don't have fax modem installed, you can buy USB adapter of a branded company and can use. But it may be expensive. Don't buy through Ebay. Go to your nearest store to find out.

If you haven't done so already, plug in your controller, then go into your control panel. Double click on game controllers. If your controller appears on the list, click on it and try to configure it. If you can, you can also test it at the same time. If you are successful then your controller should now work.

I would recommend buying a new controller. I know you don't want to, but you can get a perfectly good controller (a clone of the ps2 pad) for 15 bucks or less at Wal-Mart. You can probably find others even cheaper online. Otherwise, check the website of the company that made your original gamepad, and see if they have any software that can help.

I have a USB to serial adapter and windows XP installed the drivers automatically even without the supplied disk I would plug it in and if it doesn't install the drivers go to device manager in system,control panel rt click on the yellow exclamation mark and click on update and allow it to search the internet for a driver. If there is no yellow exclamation mark and the device is present it means its installed correctly. If you tell us the make and your operating system we may be able to find you the driver for you

You could try an automatic driver update utility. It will scan your system and identify each device. It will then locate and download the proper drivers for your devices. I have been using the one from here: http://www.pcdriverupdate.com and it has saved me much time and frustration. Download the free scan and see if it finds what you need.

Looking around I don’t actually think you can go from Serial to USB. The main problem you will have is that there won’t be any drivers to read the serial port to setup the camera even if you could connect it.

If it’s an old PC you probably have a Type I PCMCIA slot (3.3mm) the Type II is 5mm and all the SD card readers are Type II. So I would go with the burning option or get a friend to pop the images onto a CD for you.

you can’t use a serial adaptor they are used for keyboard / mice normally.

if its not even got usb1… jeez maybe time to take it to the local antiques shop..

There are a load of serial to usb converters avaialble try the link below for a list of websites in the UK. Or call PC world and ask them for one and see how much. I wouldn’t pay much more than £17 for one!!!! So if they ask for more than that tell them no thanks and buy elsewhere.

A serial to USB adaper is your best bet, but there is no guarantee it will work. Its worth a try. Or you can buy a laptop with a USB port.

USB can happily go a good few meters, I believe the specification says 5m. However, I have one which is about 8m long which i use to print over and it works fine.

You can go further, but you can’t simply extend the cable (Well you can try, and it might well work =) but your not ment to) You could use something like this:

which you should be able to put end to end to make a huuge cable. But you might notice the distance if you go too long…

You can buy a USB extender which does work well, but do beware of the length you're running the cable. You will be losing data integrity during conversion, but I am pretty sure USB can only send signal so far...

You have two options to play music. You have the AUX input right below the left temp. control knob. However, you need to buy a 3.5 mm (male to male) jack to play a music device. Your USB port is in your arm rest. It has a little black cord that’s an input, so if you have an ipod, you have to plug your white USB cord into it. The AUX plays through the headphone jack, the USB plays through the docking port.

In your center armrest will be a small cable. It is you USB connector. The end is in a clip at the front, under the armrest, remove it from the clip and you are good to go.

Yep, I've used my ipod photo on my sister's '09 Civic. You need the white apple USB cord (they one you use to put songs on it/ charge it) and that plugs into the female USB outlet in the center armrest.

I have used the first generation X-box Wi-Fi adaper for about a year now. It will work and you can pick one up for $50 used I bet. I think that’s what I paid for mine. I just bought the 1st party one today. I will let you know if it was worth it after a couple weeks of testing. On the old one I rarely got 100% signal unless I was pretty close to the router and I hoping the new one will give me more distance.

Use a reallly long ethernet wire lol, or use one of those things that connects 2 ethernet wires together,( I think it costs like 2$) and buy 2 ethernet wires and wire it from your router to your 360.

But honestly I’d shell out the extra $ for a firewire interface. The faster speeds causes less latency, which gives you higher quality. Either the Tapco Link Firewire ($200) the PreSonus Firebox ($300) or the TC Helicon Konneckt Live ($400).

Bought mine a few weeks ago, too bad there isn’t an asio driver for it. The USB-part is actually useless and if you really want to record some audio with it, I wouldn’t recommend doing it through the Alesis M1Active 320USB speakers. The sound though, is amazing in this prizerange. I listened to some sweeps yesteday and they are very clean indeed.

Yes, an audio interface is essentially a powerful soundcard… in a box! I assume you're looking for something to record with?

While it works 'okish' most of the time, USB isn't really the best protocol for audio. Firewire is generally considered better.

If you have firewire on your computer then look for firewire audio interfaces, otherwise I would recommend the PCI version of the 0404 (ok, so this is a soundcard, but they're like the same thing!).
