PS3 Rockband 3 MIDI To USB Adapter

In this video I wanted to show how much fun a musician can have in the new Rockband 3. With the addition of MIDI to USB adapter (by Midicats), I was able to hook my Lucina to the PS3 and actually play notes in order to play along with the songs. Definitely a lot more fun than just playing colored buttons that have no real musical function. Take care, -Ed.

This is actually a very good video when someone on camera explains what this USB device does with the emphasis on zero latency which might be a problem with other devices he has used. I now use for my RET Percussion electronic drum set are the Smartrigger electronic cymbals. They work and feel great! The Alesis Surge cymbals are made from the Smartrigger design. How does it hook up?! My drums and cymbals go into the Alesis Trigger IO. My Trigger IO goes into my laptop (USB cable). Within SD2.0, I have the IO selected as my MIDI device. My FireBox is separate and goes into my laptop (Firewire cable). Within SD2.0, I have my FireBox selected as my audio device. If I record, I usually just use Cubase SX3 or Cakewalk.
